- What’s more upsetting: final score or Dynamo play?
- There’s nothing I can fault players for. There’s a gap in class, skillfulness and experience. We have very young defense. The further you reach in euro cups, the tougher your opponents are. Today our opponent was better than us.
- Did the second goal impact your plans for the second half?
- Of course the second goal was upsetting. So was the first one. After the second one we dominated and created chances. When you have three young defenders, it’s natural that they make mistakes.
As for attacking efforts, Villarreal approached our goal by using combinations while we tried to create scoring opportunities individually and were often making wrong decisions.
If Tsyhankov used his chance early in the game, the scenario would have been different. We could have countervailed the lack of experience with enthusiasm. By the way, I think Villarreal player pushed Viktor in that episode a bit. I think 1:2 would have been a fairer score.

- I see this aspect differently. I need to watch the video of that goal. Our players were supposed to oppose Villarreal performers individually. The ball was cleared, but they put it back into the box and we lost focus. Individual skills also matter. One shouldn’t give such player as Moreno even a centimeter of space as he’ll use it.
As for the second goal, while we were dealing with Villarreal players inside the penalty area, they moved the ball to the wing and visitors’ performer put a cross easily. I think this is about the gap in class and experience.
I’ve told guys I have no claims to them. That’s the level of our domestic league. Villarreal represent the league of totally different level, where such intense games happen twice a week. They have top players and try to demonstrate top football.
