- I’m very happy! I congratulate all players, coaches, staff and especially Dynamo fans, who always support and believe in us.
- What do you feel being a champion?
- I feel great! It took us a while to win gold. I used to be the champion of Croatia with Dinamo Zagreb once. When I moved to Kyiv I promised I would push my friend Srna away from the throne and I’m glad we’ve done that. I want to congratulate Dnipro and Shakhtar on their achievements, but I think this season Dynamo have deserved the title.
- Has Srna congratulated you?
- Dario was the first to congratulate me on the goal and golden medals.
Srna is a great player and person.
- You often score vital goal. What’s your secret?
- I really do, but that’s the desert of the whole team.
- Have you already thought about forthcoming Champions League campaign?
- We play football to become champions every year and feature in the most prestigious European competition.
- Was it a champions-style game?
- We knew the match against Dnipro would be difficult. It’s not a big deal they didn’t use the main squad. Players, who took the field, fought till the final whistle. I want to congratulate Dnipro on qualification for the Europa League final. I hope they’ll win on May 27. Anyway we didn’t have a right to let so many supporters down. We were sure that we would score eventually.
- What can you say about interest of such clubs as Inter Milan to you?
- I don’t think about that at all. My contract with Dynamo will be valid for two and a half more years. I feature for outstanding club and I don’t want to leave. I like Kyiv and we have a great team. Unfortunately terrible things happen in Eastern Ukraine. Still I think that will be over soon.
