Dynamo Kyiv booked their place in the 2010/2011 DATAGROUP Ukrainian Cup final after defeating Arsenal Kyiv 2-0 at the Valeriy Lobanovskyy stadium on Wednesday. The White-Blues’ victory also proved to be a great present for their coach, Yuriy Semin, who celebrated birthday that day.
Ten minutes were on the clock when Andriy Yarmolenko opened the scoring after Denys Harmash set him one on one with Arsenal keeper Serhiy Pohorilyi. Andriy Shevchenko got onto the scoresheet too, as he managed to double Dynamo’s advantage soon after the restart.
No need to say that Yuriy Semin's men assumed total control of the match and gave practically no chances to the opponents. Frankly speaking, the most dangerous moment in front of Shovkovskyy's goal came in the dying minutes of the match, when our captain parried a six-meter header from second-half substitute Aleqsandr Kobakhidze.
The White-Blues now face Shakhtar Donetsk in the final on 25 May.
