Dynamo Kyiv can now fully concentrate on the upcoming UEFA Cup quarter-final match against French side PSG after their 3-1 home win at league opponents FC Chornomorets Odesa on Sunday.
Dynamo head coach Yuriy Semin fielded an untried lineup in the match, with Yussuf, Nesmachnyy, Mandzyuk and Asatiani at the back and Husyev and Ninković occupying the flanks.
The hosts took an early lead thanks to Andriy Nesmachnyy, who found the target after just three minutes, but Chornomorets midfielder Volodymyr Bondarenko restored parity in the second half, when his ten-metre effort found the far corner. The appropriate measures were taken immediately. The home team's coach freshened up his side’s front line, with attacking duo Artem Milevskyy and Oleksandr Aliyev coming in. The substitutes helped the team take control of the match and increase the ball possession.
The White-Blues once again took the lead through midfield player Serhiy Kravchenko’s debut goal for Dynamo - a long-distance strike in the 72nd minute, and Oleksandr Aliyev grabbed the third five minutes before the final whistle.
