Dynamo on the way to final

Dynamo snatched a 2-1 victory over Metalurh Zaporizhya in their bid to make it to the Ukrainian Cup final, with the second leg to be played in Donetsk in a four weeks’ time. Whereas Kyiv bossed the initiative throughout the game, the opponents deployed elaborate tactical weapon.

The White-Blues took a late first half lead through Husyev, after the midfielder headed in Corrêa’s free kick cross. The visiting team equalized in the 55th minute through their top scorer Kosyrin, who fired home a 20-meter shot.

As the match was drawing to a close, Yuriy Semin threw Aliyev and Milevskyy at the expense of Ninković and Kravets. The substitution came out right. After making a good tackle on the right flank, Milevskyy sent a cross to Aliev, who, having missed the target a couple of moments ago, was better this time and netted in a winner.
