On the group stage the game between these two sides ended in a draw – 1:1. After that Karpaty outplayed Metalist Kharkiv and the White-Blues – BRW-BIK in the semifinal.
The decisive game took place in Volodymyr-Volynskyi, where Metalist won the consolation match against BRW-BIK two hours earlier.
The weather was sunny and temperature – 25 degrees above zero.
Kyivans started the game with attacks, but Karpaty coped with the pressure.
Anyway Dynamo hit the target three times after the break. Goals were netted by Sharylo (brace) and Baban. Thus the White-Blues win the trophy!
