Jeremain LENS: “We want to win the title!”

Jeremain LENS: “We want to win the title!”

His solo efforts cause opponents’ defenders problems and crosses into the box often result in teammates’ goals.

- You became Dynamo best assistant in the first half of the season. Do you have a teammate you feel with your eyes closed?
-
Due to out training sessions and work on tacticswe improve mutual understanding day by day. When I’m on the left flank I know that Kravets rushes into the penalty area. When I’m on the right wing I know that Yarmolenko supports the attack.

- Sometimes teammates can’t score after your perfect passes. What do you feel when that happens?

- They don’t do that on purpose. Anyone can miss. Still it’s good that we create chances. The more scoring opportunities we have the better our chances to hit the target are.

- You used to help defenders rarely. Now you often struggle for the ball and return to your box. What has changed in your vision of the game?

- We have common aim – to win the Ukrainian Premier League, so we must help each other on the field. If defenders have problems I’ll do my best to make their task easier. Sometimes I don’t return to our penalty area a lot, but then I attack more aggressively. First of all I’m forward.

- Who’s Dynamo fastest player?
-
I don’t think it’s important. If you have good speed you should use it on the field. For example Yarmolenko and Kravets can elude opponents and find space as they are fast. I should notice their dashes and perform straight passes.

- There’s no language barrier between you and Serhiy Rebrov. Do you keep studying our language?

- I do, but at the moment I don’t have much time for that. Still our interpreter Dmytro Lobanov helps me to practice. Anyway I rarely use your language in everyday life as it’s too complicated (smiling).

- Does Serhiy Rebrov repeat his words in English at theory classes?

- He doesn’t, but I’m okay with that as I understand football terminology pretty well.
