- Is the final score of the Netherlands game against Australia (2:3) surprising for you?
- It’s not. I expected the game to be difficult for the Netherlands after fabulous match against Spain. It wasn’t easy to save the proper set of mind and aggression after such win. Anyway the Dutch side managed to recollect when it was necessary and to pull out the victory.
- Did you assume that Australians would have advantage in the first half?
- No one could assume that. The Netherlands decided to start the game carefully.
- Louis van Gaal’s men kept a lower profile…
- The coach chose right tactics. The thing is that his players have better individual and teamwork skills.
- The substitute appearance of Memphis Depay turned out to be decisive…
- He’s a player with good vision and desire. He wanted to approve himself.
- Dynamo player Jeremain Lens took the field only several minutes before the time, but still he created a chance for himself. What can you say about that episode?
- I think Lens lacks concentration in crucial moments. It’s difficult to count upon the head coach’s trust if you miss such chances.
- Let’s have a closer look at Croatia match against Cameroon. Is the Blazers’ lopsided win unexpected?
- It’s not. Cameroon have only one superstar, who didn’t take the field for some reason. I don’t think he’s injured. The team has problems with discipline and Croats have used that.
- Cameroon forward Samuel Eto’o missed the game while Croatia striker Mario Mandžukić took the field. How important was that?
- Mandžukić is a very good striker, who benefits the team a lot. He kept Cameroon defenders under pressure through the whole match. As for Eto’o I think he’s about to finish his career.
- What’s your opinion as for the red card for Song?
- He let his team down. The game was actually over for Cameroon after that.
- Vida and Vukojevic stayed at the bench again. Should Niko Kovač change the squad and let them feature though Croats demonstrate rather good play?
- It’s up to the head coach.
Croats are in for the decisive match against Mexico. Players of current squad seem to have found common ground.
