Eric Ramirez: “I’m getting used to teammates and trying to understand them better on the field”

After today’s morning session, FC Dynamo Kyiv Venezuelan forward Eric Ramirez told club media about his adaptation to the team, reaction to the first frost, preparations for the game against Veres and expectations of Ballon d’Or awarding ceremony.

- Eric, it’s been three months since you came to Dynamo. Have you already got accustomed to Kyiv?

- Everything is fine. I’ve adapted a bit although I haven’t spent as much time with the team as I wanted due to international call-ups. Now we’re training every day, so I’m getting used to teammates and trying to understand them better on the field.

- Tomorrow winter starts in Ukraine. Are players from South America especially sensitive to it?

- I’m from a warm country, but I played in Europe before, so I know what winter is. Still I already feel it’s colder in Ukraine than I those countries, where I lived before. Anyway, I’m getting used to that too.

- How is your teammate Vitinho doing, considering that Europe is something new to him?

- It’s harder for Vitinho as this is the first time he’s faced such cold. That’s not really comfortable for him, but he’s a smart guy, so he knows winter will be over in a few months.

- What do you know of FC Veres Rivne your team will face next weekend?

- We all aim to win. Of course I want to take the field. Our major task is to gain three points.

- Dynamo have three away games in a row. Does this influence you training routine?

- That’s tough, but we want to win each of these games.

- You were probably watching the Ballon d’Or awarding ceremony yesterday. Whom were you supporting?

- As for me, Lewandowski deserved this award.

- When will Ramirez be on the nominees list?

- I need to work a lot for that (laughing).
