Europa Conference League. 3rd qualifying round, second leg. Dynamo – Aris. Preview

On Thursday, August 17, FC Dynamo Kyiv will play the 2023/2024 UEFA Europa Conference League 3rd qualifying round second leg. The White-Blues will host the Greek side Aris Thessaloniki FC at the Stadionul Rapid-Giulesti in Bucharest.

 

FIRST LEG

In the first leg, that took place in Thessaloniki, Aris succeeded 1:0. The only goal was scored halfway through the second half. Referee awarded penalty and Palma converted from the spot.

Generally, Aris had more scoring opportunities, but decent performance by goalkeeper Heorhiy Bushchan preserved pretty good chances for the White-Blues to reach the next stage.

PREPARATIONS FOR THE SECOND LEG

DYNAMO

Having returned from Thessaloniki, Dynamo were practicing at FC Rapid Bucharest training ground (the UPL match against Metalist 1925 was postponed).

ARIS

The Greek league season hasn’t started yet, so Aris were also getting ready for the second game against Dynamo purposefully. Czech defender Jakub Brabec and Ecuadorian halfback Kike Saverio keep working individually. Goalkeeper Julian Cuesta, who preserved a clean sheet in the first leg, got injured at the training session and it’s not clear when he’ll be able to play.
