- Yevhen, how important was it to feature for national team considering that you don’t have much game practice in your club?
- Of course it was important. I took the field as we had to gain three points to get back into the battle.
- Belarus created a lot of chances. Was it difficult to oppose them?
- I wouldn’t say they had a lot of chances. They could score mostly after crosses into the box. They have high players. In one episode Piatov saved our team. I think our defense performed pretty well. We didn’t concede and eventually scored.
- Did substitute appearances change the game?
- Yes, they did. Budkivskyi is a high forward, so it was easier for him to oppose Belarus defenders than for Zozulia. Sydorchuk dispossessed Belarus players confidently in the midfield. Besides he finished a good counterattack.
- Can you compare the level of Slovakia and Belarus play?
- I think these teams are approximately of the same level.
