FC Dynamo Kyiv official Web site has carried out a traditional fans’ poll. 2104 Web site visitors took part in the survey to select their best player in the 2007/08 campaign.
Ismaël Bangoura topped the poll, receiving 37% of the votes. Last July, when introduced by the then Kyiv head coach Anatoliy Demyanenko, the Guinean promised to score 20 goals in his debut season. Despite often being on the sidelines, the striker stood by his promise, having notched 21 goals in 31 appearances.
Right-flank placed Oleh Husyev finished second, with 16% of respondées support. Delivering to a traditionally high level, the Ukraine international might have yielded even a more positive result, but for the injury he incurred with one month left to play.
Dynamo most regular Tiberiu Ghioane was third, racking 13%. The versatile Romanian, who was deployed on a nearly every position, has a 5-winning goal streak to his credit.
