FC Dynamo Kyiv have acquired defender Malkhaz Asatiani on loan from FC Lokomotiv (Moscow) on the last days of the transfer window. He will play for the Ukrainian football club till the end of 2008.
Malkhaz Asatiani was born in 1981 in Kutaisi, Georgia. He made his professional debut at the age of 18 for the local team Torpedo. Four years later he signed a contract with Russian football club Lokomotiv. Malkhaz has played 18 international matches for the national team of Georgia and scored 4 goals since his debut in 2001.
