- due to the victory against Shakhtar (2:1) the White-Blues became the Ukrainian Cup tenfold winners, which is the record for our country;
- after the triumph over Shakhtar in the 2013/14 Ukrainian Cup decisive match Kyivans became leaders in the number of wins in face-to-face matches against Donetsk side in the national cup final – 4:3;
- Dynamo defeated Shakhtar in the Ukrainian Cup final for the fourth time (third time by two goals to one);
- all Dynamo performers, who took the field, featured in the national cup final for the first time, except for goalkeeper Olexandr Shovkovskyi;
- caretaker manager Serhiy Rebrov won the Ukrainian Cup with Dynamo for the first time;
- this is the 14th trophy Dynamo won during the presidency of Ihor Surkis (4 domestic titles, 5 Ukrainian Cups, 5 Ukrainian Super Cups);
- Dynamo skipper Olexandr Shovkovskyi participated in every cup final against Shakhtar (6 times among first eleven, once – at the bench);
- goal netted by Douglas Costa was the 5th Dynamo conceded in the Ukrainian Cup this season;
- own goal scored by Kucher (Shakhtar) was the fist one in the history of Dynamo finals against Shakhtar;
- the decider scored by Domagoj Vida was Dynamo 285th goal in cup fixtures;
- Olexandr Shovkovskyi is ninefold national cup winner, which is the absolute record of Ukraine;
- it was the first time in the history of Dynamo vs Shakhtar finals that two players were sent off several seconds before the time;
- Dynamo returned the national to Kyiv six seasons after they did it last time. The trophy is a bit damaged;
- 9,700 supporters watched the cup final at Vorskla Stadium named after O. Butovskyi. Thus the anti-record belongs to the final between FC Chornomorets Odesa and SC Tavria Simferopol, which took place on May 29 1994 at the NSC Olimpiyskyi (5,000 spectators);
- 24 Dynamo players won the national cup for the fist time ever.
