Fran SOL: “I imagine myself scoring more when I come back”

- How do you feel after surgery, Fran?

- Really well and I’m doing better day after day. I’m totally focused on my recovery.

- What does your usual day look like at the moment?

- I wake up at 8:30 a.m. Then I go to the gym to do cardio exercises. After breakfast I have rehabilitation session at Dynamo training complex. I work for about 2,5 hours with therapist there. I also have different procedures, for example, massage.

- What are the further stages of your recovery?

- I hope six weeks into rehabilitation process I’ll start jogging and training with the ball. Now it’s week four.

- Injury is a tough period from psychological point of view. How do you deal with that?

- It’s hard to watch Dynamo games, when I can’t help the team. Everything I can do is support. But there’s nothing I can do about it. I try to be patient and imagine myself scoring more when I come back. We watch games with Mikkel Duelund. We really want to come back as soon as possible.

- Recently you posted stories from Kyiv subway. Did you like it?

- My friends came to visit me and we decided to feel true Kyiv, to see all aspects of city life. And we got a lot of positive emotions.

- What do you think of Ukrainians?

- They’re nice sincere people. I feel comfortable in Ukraine.

- What spots do you like in Kyiv? Restaurants, parks, sights…

- I don’t go to restaurants a lot. Besides, my son is only three months old. We spend all our free time with him. But when he grows up, we’ll go out more often. I like Maidan, the area around the Motherland Monument and the district of Lypky. I also spend time with teammates – Sidcley, Benjamin, Tomasz.

- Do you study the language?

- I do. It’s not easy, but I have classes twice a week.
