In 2014/2015 season Gabala made their debut in euro cups – they lost against NK Siroki Brijeg from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Europa League first qualifying round (0:2 at home and 0:3 away). The following year Gabala outplayed FC Dinamo Tbilisi, FK Cukaricki, Apollon Limassol and Panathinaikos FC and reached the Europa League group stage, but finished fourth. The same happened in 2016/2017 season.
