The Ukrainian Premier League traditionally continues to recognize the stars of the 2026/2027 season and has selected the Team of the 8th Round of the championship, as well as named the Best Player and Best Coach of the round. The winners were determined with the participation of UPL TV presenters, experts, commentators, and representatives of Ukraine’s leading sports media.
Following the vote, Dynamo Kyiv goalkeeper Heorhiy Bushchan was named the Best Player of the 8th Round of the Ukrainian Premier League.
Bushchan made a significant contribution to the White-Blues’ victory over Karpaty (1:0), keeping a clean sheet and making a number of important saves.
It should be noted that, alongside Bushchan, another Dynamo representative, forward Matvii Ponomarenko, was included in the Team of the Round. He scored the winning goal in the 66th minute of the match, firing a powerful shot into the bottom corner of the opponents’ goal.
It is worth noting that Ponomarenko finished fourth in the voting for the Best Player of the Round.
