Heorhiy Tsytaishvili: “I’ve learned to do sliding tackles from Denys Popov”

- We’ve reconditioned after the game against Shakhtar, so I think we’ll be ready for the match against Oleksandria. We had little time to prepare ourselves for the duel against Shakhtar, but now everything is okay.

- They used to say that defensive work is your downside, bit you helped defenders in the match against Shakhtar. Did coach tell you to do that?

- Every player is motivated to perform for the first team. This is another level and one must fit it. It’s not okay just to watch your teammates having rough times on the field. We need to help defenders.

- Even today you agreed to play as lateral at the training session. Do you want to improve your defensive skills?

- We just lacked right back and I said I could do it. That’s not a big deal. If we need to replaces a goalkeeper, for example, I’ll be ready to help the team.

- Your sliding tackle against Ismaily inside the penalty area was really impressive. Did you work on that?

- I watch how my opponents play before every game. I knew how Ismaily attacks and I knew how to dispossess him. He’s fast, but I don’t think he’s faster than me. Besides my roommate is Denys Popov. I’ve learned to do sliding tackles from him (smiling).

- Oleksandria are only three points behind Dynamo. Does this make the forthcoming game especially important?

- We’re getting ready as usually. Every game is important, especially now, when four teams fight for the second place.
