The game was extremely important for the Yellow-Blues. The only acceptable result was victory!
Only one FC Dynamo Kyiv performer was in Ukraine starting lineup – Andriy Yarmolenko.
Visitors opened the score 51 minutes into the match. Yevhen Konoplyanka hit the open goal.
This made home side play more actively. 72 minutes into the game Rakytskyi tried to clear the cross but hit the bar after which Joel Pohjanpalo headed the ball in – 1:1.
Shortly before that another Kyivan took the field – Artem Besedin. 75 minutes into the game our striker hit the target with a header after cross from Rakytskyi and thus handed Ukraine victory – 2:1. In a minute Dynamo midfielder Volodymyr Shepelev made his official debut for Ukraine.
The Yellow-Blues have 11 points after six games (3 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat, goal difference – 9:5). On September 2 our team will face Turkey in Kharkiv.
