Goals by Voloshyn and Braharu don’t help Ukraine U21 beat Denmark in Euro-2025 first game

On Thursday, June 12, Ukraine U21 started their Euro-2025 (U21) campaign.

Vladyslav Vanat had a chance to put our team in front in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the bar. Yet Ukraine succeeded in two minutes. After cross from the right side and shot by Vanat the ball was heading into the net, but another Kyivan Nazar Voloshyn sent it into the far corner to be sure.

Denmark equalized in the second half. 15 minutes later Dynamo halfback Maksym Braharu made it 2:1 for Ukraine with a spectacular strike, but later in the game Denmark scored two and won the match.

Seven FC Dynamo Kyiv players took the field in this game – goalkeeper Ruslan Neshcheret, defender Kostiantyn Vivcharenko, halfbacks Volodymyr Brazhko (captain), Nazar Voloshyn, Valentyn Rubchynskyi, Maksym Braharu and forward Vladyslav Vanat.
