Hubenko and Liusin included in Ukraine U19 squad for the UEFA European Under-19 Championship 2026

The coaching staff of the Ukraine U19 national team, led by Dmytro Mykhailenko, has announced the squad of players who will compete in the final tournament of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in Wales.

The squad includes 20 players, among them two representatives of Dynamo – defender Kostiantyn Hubenko (No. 14) and midfielder Pavlo Liusin (No. 8).

On Friday, June 26, after ten days of training camp in Kraków, Poland, Blue and Yellows departed for Wales. During the group stage of the tournament, which will take place from June 28 to July 11, Ukraine will compete in Group B alongside Croatia, Italy and Serbia.

Ukraine U19 Match Schedule (Group B):

June 29, 22:00 – Croatia vs Ukraine

July 2, 20:00 – Serbia vs Ukraine

July 5, 18:00 – Ukraine vs Italy

Group A consists of Denmark, Spain, Wales and Germany.

Following the group stage top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. They will also automatically qualify for the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will be held in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

The teams finishing third in their respective groups will have one more opportunity to qualify for the World Cup. They will meet in a separate play-off match for 5th place, with the winner later advancing to the intercontinental play-off for the final place at the 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The decisive matches of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship 2026 for qualification to the World Cup (the semi-finals and the 5th-place match) will be played on July 8, while the final will take place on July 11.
