FC Dynamo Kyiv President Ihor Surkis, speaking to the club’s press service, announced the appointment of Ihor Kostiuk as the permanent head coach of the first team removing the “acting” status:
- Ihor Volodymyrovych is a talented coach who has been working at our club for many years. He has developed more than one generation of talented young players, many of whom are now performing at the highest level in Europe’s top leagues.
He knows Dynamo’s youth very well and is not afraid to trust young players who have already proven themselves at first-team level. He is a coach who knows how to find the right approach to his players.
During his time at the club Kostiuk has proven his professionalism and high level of qualification, and he showed himself very well as acting head coach during an extremely difficult period for the team.
The club’s management fully trusts Ihor Volodymyrovych and believes that he is capable of leading the team to a proper position in Ukrainian and European football.
