Ihor SURKIS: “It would have been great to win the league and national cup, but everything has its time”

- I was at that match in Zaporizhia and saw everything. Then I spent two days at the hospital with Lobanovskyi. When he got better I returned to Kyiv. Unfortunately he passed away. I’ll always remember him.

- Is it true you don’t finance the club?

- Just look how our kids are dressed, how the club operates. We don’t have any backdated salaries. These rumors’ aim is to derail the team. Of course the current financial situation is difficult, but it’s difficult for the whole country, not only for Dynamo. Anyway, we’ll be fine.

- Do you run out of patience in your work sometimes?

- I’ve had enough patience for almost twenty years. Of course I get upset and I want our youngsters to demonstrate great play as soon as possible. Many young players have joined the team. I want them to win the UPL, national cup and perform decently in the Champions League, but everything has its time. I assure you we’ll make a team we’ll all be proud of. We’ve got a really talented generation of our trainees, but that doesn’t mean we won’t look for enforcement on transfer market. This summer we’ll try to sign two or three players we need.
