- Oleh Blokhin can’t count on Husiev in forthcoming matches because Dynamo halfback suffered injury as the White-Blues face Dnipro. What did you feel when Denys Boiko hit Oleh?
- It’s still hard to recall that terrifying episode though I know that everything has worked out. As for Boiko, I’m sure that he didn’t hit Oleh deliberately. I also want to remind that Denys performs for Dnipro on loan. He’ll rejoin Dynamo in summer.
I guess only Boiko can state whether he could act differently in that situation, but as I’ve said, he didn’t mean to injure Husiev.
As for emotions… When Oleh was taken to the hospital I didn’t think about football any more. I constantly kept in touch with Dynamo administrator and doctors. I’d like to thank Jaba Kankava and Roman Zozulia, who helped our player.
Our performers were shocked after that episode. I think we must do everything not to let such situations happen in football.
- Some specialists say that Husiev will be able to start training in a week, while other state he is to follow bed regime for at least ten days. Who is right?
- He’ll start jogging in several days. Thank Heaven he’s got no fractures and problem with broken teeth can be solved rather quickly. I hope Husiev will be able to play soon. Our fans consider Oleh to be the symbol of the club.
- Oleh Blokhin has mentioned that Husiev’s injury had an impact upon Dynamo match against Dnipro. Do you agree with that?
- I guess that episode could be one of the reasons for our defeat, but not the only one. Coaching staff must analyze the match. Anyway it was noticeable that Dynamo didn’t demonstrate a combative spirit. I didn’t see leaders on the pitch.
Meanwhile Dnipro performers were fighting for the team, their supporters and final score.
- FC Dynamo Kyiv will face FC Chornomorets Odesa within the Ukrainian Cup semifinal. Is that surprising for you?
- I was expecting something like that. The only surprise is that we’ll play in Kyiv.
- Dynamo will have really tight schedule this spring…
- I don’t think it would have been easier for us to face FC Slavutych Cherkasy away. Anything can happen in semifinals. As for Chornomorets, they demonstrated impressive play in autumn and defeated us at the NSC Olimpiyskyi. At the moment they have some difficulties as some performers have left the team. Anyway if we have ambitious goals, we must do our best to win every match.
