Ihor SURKIS: “Match against Porto is the most important game of the season”

- It’s good we’ve gained three points. This match can be called a kind of preparation of the game against FC Porto. I’ve told our performers that it will be the most important match of the season. We have a chance and we must grab it. We shouldn’t be afraid of anyone. I’m pretty sure we’ve already qualified for the Europa League, so we must fight for the honor of our club and our supporters.

- Rebrov has good reservists. Today we actually saw different team.

- I agree. Khacheridi and Yarmolenko weren’t on players’ list just like Vida. Rybalka and Sydorchuk were substitutes. Still though we lacked some first team regulars we’ve won. Those, who usually stay at the bench and wait for their chance, have done a good job.

- Today Younes Belhanda, who has little game practice this season, took the field. Did you like his play?

- There were some reasons for his lack of game practice and he knows that. Recently I talked to him. Younes says he’s 100% ready to play. He’s a really high profile performer.

- A lot of Dynamo players will participate in Euro-2016. Are you happy about that?
-
I’m very happy! Not only for our team, but also for Croatia, Poland… I’m sure Teodorczyk will be called up. Last night Gonzalez returned from his national team camp. That influences our club, but there’s nothing we can do about the schedule. That’s why we must have players that can replace each other. I think no one will leave us in winter.

- Will anyone join Dynamo?

- We’ll see. Our scouts are working. If someone leaves the team we’ll sign new players.

- Today fans sang, but didn’t use pyro. Did you find mutual understanding after incident at the Champions League match?

- What happened at the match against Chelsea is a kind of mystery. I think it was a provocation. There’s no racism in Ukraine! We have multinational country. For example I can speak both Russian and Ukrainian. I guess what happened was somebody’s plan. A bunch of bastards can be an obstacle not letting 60 thousand people come to the stadium. I think we’ll be punished strictly. Anyway as president of the club I can say: there was no racism there. Soon we’ll find those who did that. People will know who harms Ukrainian football!

- They say you want to “find and punish” those who did that…

- I’m not executioner. We have police for that. I don’t even want someone to be imprisoned, but people must know who did that. NSC Olimpiyskyi can be disqualified like Dnipro-Arena. If we play behind closed doors why should one invest money into football..? We must avoid such incidents and we are working on that.

- UEFA will announce the verdict concerning that incident on November 24 when Dynamo face Porto. Won’t that influence the team in a negative way?

- No matter what the verdict will be we can take appeal. Still I think UEFA decision will be well-considered. In general everything was fine at the match. I want to “thank” TV channels that paid so much attention to the incident. Anyway, as I’ve said, there was no racism.
