- What was the last problem you were to solve very quickly?
- Problems arise every second. For example Oleh Blokhin refused to give interview to Football TV-channel. But actually I support his decision as he was abused by this channel.
- Does this TV-channel, which belongs to Rinat Akhmetov, cover football issues one-dimensionally?
- The only aim of this TV-channel is to drag Dynamo’s name through the mud.
- For example…
- It’s difficult to recall at once. Frankly speaking we tried to cooperate with this channel. I think these people should be honest speaking about football. They always have some problems with Dynamo. So we are going different ways. By the way, Mircea Lucescu stated that Dynamo have 7 TV-channels. I’d like to see them.
- Maybe he meant 2+2 channel?
- But that’s not 7 channels! Media which support Dynamo don’t speak about Skhahtar in a negative way. Besides Dynamo are often criticized at 2+2 TV-channel.
- But do you still watch Football TV-channel?
- Well, I watch broadcasts of matches. Besides, there are professional players among experts. Not all of them are “killers”.
- Do you mean Olexandr Denysov?
- Sure! He behaves as if his opinion were the only correct one. I think that’s wrong.
- When did you last meet Rinat Akhmetov?
- I met him last week. Our relations are better than journalists think.
- You told that you know a lot of secrets of Ukrainian football. Can you tell at least one of them?
- As my brother was the FFU president Dynamo were often accused of unfair play. But referees make mistakes not only in favor of Dynamo.
For example Khacheridi and Papa Gueye commit similar fouls. Yevhen gets a three-match suspension and Papa is not suspended at all.
- Does match fixing exist in Ukrainian football?
- I think it does. I don’t mean any team in particular. My point is that teams’ placement must be defined on the pitch.
- They say that Dynamo started experiencing pressure as political power changed in Ukraine. Do you feel that? Your brother has lost the post of FFU president for example.
- That’s a relief for me. At least I don’t have to offer excuses.
- What was the largest fine you punished your player with?
- 100 thousand dollars.
- There are two players in your team who have problems with their emotionality sometimes.
- That’s our problem. Khacheridi had a serious conversation with our leaders Shovkovskyi and Mykhalyk after the home match against Maccabi. It seems he has understood something.
Harmash is a young talented player. I think he just should gain some life experience.
- They say that Artem Milevskyi keeps partying a lot after his exclusion from the main squad. Did you try to help him?
- I talked a lot to him. But it seems that football is secondary for Artem. Maybe he should change the team. He’ll have such an opportunity in summer.
- Is there anything you feel ashamed for?
- I feel ashamed for Dynamo’s fourth year without UPL gold.
- What are the reasons for that?
- First of all we have very strong opponents. I also made some mistakes as a president. But at the moment I think that such person as Oleh Blokhin is able to improve our team’s play. I’ll do whatever it takes to help him. Today Shakhtar is the best team in Ukraine due to the squad stability. But I hope we’ll change the situation for better.
- When did Oleh Blokhin surprise you?
- After surgery he wanted to watch Dynamo match on TV despite doctor’s prohibition. Later I got to know that he called someone to get to know the score.
- What is Dynamo budget for year 2013?
- 55-60 million dollars without regard to transfers.
- Are there any players Dynamo would like to have but can’t afford?
- It’s Oscar Cardozo from Benfica for example.
- Did any foreign club try to sign Andriy Yarmolenko Yarmolenko?
- We didn’t get any offers. Andriy wants to play for Dynamo and we like that. He is able to become the true leader of the team. Of course if some top club wants to sign him we’ll give Yarmolenko a chance. But the offer must be solid.
