- I can’t say that the win in Kazakhstan wasn’t confident. We scored three goals which means that we play effectively for attack, but still we should also work on defense. As we have signed several new players everyone hopes that Dynamo will start demonstrating impressive football at once, but it takes time to change the situation for better. There must be good atmosphere and competing in the team and every player, who takes the field, must realize what tasks he is to complete. Anyway these players are able to achieve a lot.
- After the game against FC Metalurh Zaporizhya Oleh Blokhin said that he feels sorry for players, president and for himself as referees don’t let Dynamo play. What can you tell about his words?
- Oleh Blokhin is a very emotional person. So am I. My commentary could be even more critical. The way referees behave towards Dynamo…I want to focus on two episodes: when Metalurh player almost decapitated Khacheridi and when there was a rough play against Mbokani inside the penalty area. Even those TV-channels which usually criticize our team admitted that referee had to award penalty. It was obvious. As for us – we don’t need any referees’ help. I hope these mistakes were impartial.
- Are you ready to lodge some complaint against such refereeing?
- Unfortunately my complaints won’t be accepted. It’s interesting to hear what Collina will say about refereeing in Zaporizhya. I’m sure that he does his best to make our referees work properly. But sometimes some factors influence them. Of course I won’t keep silent. There are different ways to make international community pay attention to our refereeing.
- Dynamo will play against FC Aktobe behind closed doors. Will it influence the game?
- It’s inadmissible for Dynamo to play behind closed doors. At the moment our club is responsible for whose fans that caused such troubles. These four or five rascals have deprived 25-30 thousand spectators of the opportunity to watch this game at the stadium. Never the less we must go through it and try not to let such things happen again.
- Did you try to solve this problem together with Dynamo Fan-club?
- It’s not about Fan-club. We have good relations with them. In that case security just let someone bring a megaphone to the stadium to yell Nazi chants. Football is for spectators. Without them it is some strange phenomenon.
- Ex-Dynamo striker Roman Zozulia handed FC Dnipropetrovsk win over FC Shakhtar Donetsk. Don’t you want to take him back to your team?
- I can’t intervene into Dnipro affairs. Roman was signed by Dnipropetrovsk side and became first team regular due to hard work. I think we have a good squad at the moment.
- Did the score of the first game against FC Aktobe surprise you?
- It’s good that we scored three goals and it’s bad that we conceded two. There must be some balance between attack and defense. Oleh Blokhin works on it. I hope that player who will take the field in the second leg will demonstrate their best qualities and we’ll qualify to Europa League group stage. Although I think that Dynamo Kyiv must struggle for the Champions League.
- Will players get any financial bonus for qualification to the Europa League group stage?
- Of course. They are professionals and they get money for their play.
- Many experts say that Dynamo have lost too many points in the UPL to struggle for Premiership this season. Do you agree with that? And how much time will you give the coaching staff if Kyivans don’t win the UPL?
- As a president I must be patient. I think there is nothing settled in Ukrainian Premier League yet. First of all we must demonstrate good play to speak about Premiership. We are still to work on it. At the moment every game is difficult for us. When we signed five new players we realized that they would need time for adaptation. I can assure you that when they achieve mutual understanding our team will struggle for trophies.
- How can you estimate FC Aktobe play and their chances for qualification to Europa League group stage?
- I respect this team. Aktobe are a good opponent. Still I think that Dynamo must outplay Kazakh side.
- Oleh Blokhin stated that result is above all for him.
- I agree with him. Result is above all for the head coach and for players. I would like our team to demonstrate impressive play.
