- Today we pay tribute to hundreds of great players. Those people did a lot for Dynamo. I always say: if we don’t remember our past, we won’t have future.
- What are your expectations of this game?
- Of course I’d like to see goals, to see what our veterans are capable of. I’m sure they’ll demonstrate something spectacular. Mykhailychenko likes that. He always does his best on the field. Recently he told me: “Every match is an honor for me as I can put the shirt of this club on”. I think we should have more events of the kind. A couple of years ago we lost young lads: Belkevych, Husin, Bal.
- There’re videos on the web of you juggling the ball. Maybe you’d like to play too?
- I was offered to play, but there’s no use demeaning myself. It takes at least several training sessions to play with such masters. One must be really fit to play football. That’s why I’ll just watch.
Recently Valeriy Lobanovskyi memorial tournament took place in the USA. Next time large group of our veterans will go there. Today Dynamo former players are everywhere. I work with many of them. Bezhenar, for example, works at our football school. Those players sacrificed themselves for the team. I’m nostalgic about players Dynamo used to have. We should play more friendlies like this.
We’re going to face Borussia Dortmund in spring. Yarmolenko will play for both sides in turns. I guess a lot of people will come to this game. Everyone loves Andriy. I met him recently and he thanked me. I’ve dove everything I promised him. He feels he’s making headway in Borussia and I think he’ll benefit this club.
