- In this round all potential opponents except for OGC Nice were approximately of the same level. If we want to perform in the Champions League we must outplay Young Boys and move forward gradually.
Last season Young boys finished second in Swiss league and we must treat this team with respect. Anyway, we’re able to outplay them.
- Last season Young Boys didn’t let FC Shakhtar Donetsk reach the Champions League group stage. Do you want to gain revenge?
- We mustn’t have any thoughts of the kind. We play for honor of our club and fans. We look only forward.
- Are you going to meet the team before the forthcoming matches?
- I’m always in touch with the team, head coach and captain. They all know that the Champions League is a very prestigious competition and a chance to demonstrate what their true worth is. We’ll try to demonstrate our best qualities and defeat Young Boys.
- What are your expectations of the new season?
- Every new season gives new hopes. We shouldn’t wear sackcloth and ashes. Before the bad previous season we had two successful ones. Now the team is getting ready for new performances. We’ll have really tight schedule. We’ve done a good job in Austria and I hope we’ll reach our goals.
