On newcomers:
- Zambrano is training. He didn’t have game practice for a while. I hope he’ll recondition soon. As for Verbic, I like him. When the team starts doing well, he’ll be doing well too.
Boiko is one of our best signings, especially considering that he joined us right before the transfer window closed. So far it’s a loan move and then we’ll see. I like his attitude to work. He got injured before the game against AEK Athens FC, but he risked for the team and took the field.
Rotan is experienced guy, who must teach youngsters. As far as I know, Andriy Shevchenko still counts on him in the national team.
On recent results:
- I’m not a coach, but I suppose the team didn’t recondition after the game against AEK. So far Dynamo are doing worse than we did late in the previous year.
It’s quite obvious that we simply aren’t ready to do our best for 90 minutes so far. There’s no proper speed when we switch from defense to attack. I hope we’ll catch up.
What didn’t I like about the match against FC Veres Rivne? I didn’t like the spirit. We were supposed to play through the pain barrier. After the red card the team actually gave up.
Dynamo aren’t ready for the second part of the season and coaching staff should be asked for reasons.
On new contracts with players:
- As for the future of Khacheridi, we’re still not sure. His contract has almost expired and he’s 31. We’ll discuss that with him. He dreams of playing in the West. Does he still want to perform for Dynamo? We’ll ask him.
As for Mbokani, he’s injured so far. The situation is also quite complicated.
On Europa League campaign and SS Lazio:
- First of all we must reach our optimal conditions and demonstrate football we’re capable of. We have a lot of youngsters on the team. They’ll have good and bad games. For example, Tsyhankov scored today, but in general he was invisible. That’s absolutely natural.
I think if we count on youngsters, we should give a chance to Smyrnyi and Shaparenko.
As for Lazio, they’re really good team. Anyway, if we still have chances after the first leg in Rome, on March 15 we’ll be ready to fight. Khatskevych says that soon Dynamo will play the way fans like. We’ll see.
