A series of World Cup 2010 qualifying fixtures and international friendly matches took place on Wednesday all over the world.
Croatia national team, Ukraine’s nearest rivals in Group 6, overcame Andorra 0-2 thanks to goals from Klasnić and Eduardo. Dynamo midfielder Ognjen Vukojević came on after 69 minute and was not involved in the goals. The victory keeps Croatia second behind England in the group.
Uzbekistan were playing their qualifying match against Australia without injured captain Maksim Shatskikh. The team has suffered a disappointing 0-2 defeat and now must be ready to fight for the third place with Bahrain.
Roman Eremenko’s team didn't have a qualifier on Wednesday, but played a friendly match against Norway. Unfortunately, Finland failed to beat the opponents, going down 3-2. Meanwhile, Dynamo’s Miloš Ninković made his international debut as a substitute in Serbia’s 2-0 victory over Sweden.
