After 19 matchdays Hajduk are second in domestic league table with 35 points, way behind Dinamo Zagreb (47 points).

They tumbled out of the national cup in the second round by losing against HNK Gorica (1:2).

In the second round of the Europa League qualification Hajduk were outplayed by Maltese side Gzira United FC on aggregate (2:0 home win, 1:3 home defeat).

Coach

41-year-old Igor Tudor is Hajduk trainee, who used to be a famous player. He won the 1998 World Cup bronze with Croatia national team. He spent the major part of his career in Juventus, featuring as supporting midfielder. After Italy, Tudor returned to Hajduk and finished his career there. Being in charge of the team he won the Croatian Cup in 2013.

Opposition history

Dynamo and Hajduk haven’t faced each other yet, but still they have certain connections.

Defender Goran Sablic, who featured for Dynamo from 2002 till 2010, started his career in Hajduk. In 2007-2010 ex-Dynamo halfback Florin Cernat played for Split side. So did forward Maris Verparovskis is 2007-2008. Besides, in 2007-2008 Hajduk striker Tomislav Busic peformed for Dynamo on loan.

In 2014-2015 Dynamo and Ukraine national team former forward Artem Milevskyi also played for Hajduk.
