16 U-17 teams took part in the contest. They were divided into four groups.
It should be mentioned that our club was represented by U-16 team. The White-Blues faced FC VSS Kosice (Slovakia), FC Chornomorets Odesa and FC Lviv in group C.
Kyivans won each group stage game, but lost the semifinal. In the consolation match they flattened FC Shakhtar Donetsk U-16 reservists – 6:0 – and thus won bronze.
