On Sunday, 16 November, Dynamo Kyiv used the international break to play a friendly against Epitsentr, the newcomer of the Ukrainian Premier League.
Already in the 3rd minute Dynamo took the lead. Epitsentr goalkeeper Arsenii Vavshko parried a long-range shot from Volodymyr Brazhko but Valentyn Rubchynskyi was quickest on the rebound and opened the scoring. A few minutes later Eduardo Guerrero headed the ball into the net after a pass from Vladyslav Blănuță but the goal was disallowed for offside.
In the 25th minute Epitsentr equalised. Vladyslav Supriaha received the ball after Valentyn Morhun failed to intercept a low cross and scored into an empty net.
After conceding the “White-Blues” pushed actively to regain the lead. However converting chances proved difficult despite numerous opportunities. In the second half alone Dynamo hit the post three times.
In the 89th minute Dynamo’s attacking efforts finally paid off. During a free-kick routine Guerrero lofted the ball into the opponent’s penalty area where Denys Popov took advantage and scored into an empty goal.
No more goals were scored. Dynamo defeated Epitsentr - 2:1 - in the friendly gaining positive momentum ahead of the continuation of the season.
Dynamo started the match with the following lineup: Morhun – Vivcharenko, Thiare, Burtnyk, Tymchyk – Brazhko, Buialskii, Rubchynskyi, Guerrero, Ogundana – Blănuță. Also featured: Kabaiev, Pikhalonok, Popov, Dubinchak, Mykhailenko, Ihnatenko, Diallo, Kalondji.
