Early in the game, both teams were getting accustomed to each other. Nice managed to apply high pressure and maintain possession in attacking half. They were closer to chances creation. At first Ndoye didn’t reach the ball after dangerous low cross from the lift side and then Boiko didn’t let Gouiri score in one-on-one situation.
Dynamo hardly created any danger until later in the first half. In the 37th minute, de Pena took a free kick from the left wing, put a cross into the box, Syrota headed it to Shkurin, who, for his part, headed the ball in – 1:0! This was the third goal of Belarusan striker for Dynamo.
Before the break, both sides exchanged opportunities. Benitez parried the strike by Buialskyi while Boiko cleared the chip by Gouiri.
Right after the first half, Dynamo coach made two substitutions. Bushchan and Supriaha replaced Boiko and Shkurin.
Gradually the game tempo decreased, but Nice came back into the match. Ndoye eluded Harmash in front of the penalty area and hit the corner.
Ten minutes later, Nice grabbed the winner. Trouillet used the mess inside Dynamo box and made it 1:2.
