Kostiantyn Vivcharenko: «I’m very happy to be back. Watching matches from the stands is much harder»

After recovering from an injury, Dynamo full-back Kostiantyn Vivcharenko has returned to training with the main group and shared his emotions in a comment for the club’s official website.

– You have returned to training with the main group after your injury and have already completed several sessions with the team. How are you feeling at the moment?

– I’m very happy because it was a difficult period for me. I’ve finally returned, so the feeling is wonderful. Today was my first full training session with the team, and I’m very happy about it.

– How are you feeling in terms of fitness? Do you think you still need some time to regain your form?

– Of course, I still need some time, because individual training is one thing, while working with the team is completely different. So it’s difficult at the moment. I need to progress gradually, step by step, and everything will be fine.

– How difficult is it to be out of action and watch matches from the stands, knowing that, unfortunately, you cannot help the team yet?

– Watching from the stands is always very emotional and difficult because you feel every moment – whether it’s a draw or a defeat, every single incident. So I would say it’s several times harder.

– Today you trained under the new coaching staff for the first time. What are your impressions? Have you already noticed anything new?

– They haven’t spent that much time with the team yet, but they already have their own views on football and their own vision of the game. So we are getting used to things now and trying to absorb this information as quickly as possible.

– You are returning ahead of the league match against Shakhtar. Are you happy that this is happening just before such an important game?

– Of course, it’s always a derby. It’s not just another league match – it’s Shakhtar. We will prepare as usual. But we owe them one after the Cup, so we’ll keep training. I hope I’ll be able to play when the time comes.

– Does the defeat in the Cup match motivate the team? Do you still think about that game, or is it already behind you?

– It’s already behind us. We need to draw conclusions. The coaching staff will point out our mistakes so that we understand what we need to do to make sure they don’t happen again in the future. I hope the result will be a good one.
