The Ukrainian Premier League traditionally holds a vote to determine the best player and coach of the month in the championship.
The list of the main contenders for the September Player and Coach of the Month awards was compiled with the help of UPL TV commentators and experts, as well as media representatives who selected the best coach, best player and Team of the Round after each round.
Ihor Kostiuk, head coach of Dynamo Kyiv, is among the nominees for the UPL Coach of the Month award for September. Under his guidance, the “White and Blues” won two of their three league matches during this period and did not concede a single goal.
Also among the nominees for the September Coach of the Month award are:
Mladen Bartulović (Kharkiv),
Ruslan Rotan (Polissia),
Arda Turan (Shakhtar).
Dynamo forward Matvii Ponomarenko is among the nominees for the UPL Player of the Month award for September.
The striker scored two goals during this period. In particular, he scored a direct free-kick in the home match against Epitsentr (3:0).
