Goalkeepers
The White-Blues have three high profile keepers – Olexandr Shovkovskyi, Maxym Koval and Olexandr Rybka.
Koval has already made 14 appearances this season (15 goals conceded), Rybka – 8 (11) and Shovkovskyi – 7 (5).
Chornomorets first team regular is 30-year-old keeper Dmytro Bezotosnyi. He’s made 26 appearances this season. He has approved himself at European arena as Chornomorets featured in the Europa League playoffs.
Defense
Dynamo conceded 32 goals within 26 matchdays. This number increases year by year.
The main reason for that is lack of centre backs’ stability. As Taras Mykhalyk left Kyiv last summer coaching staff placed the stake on Yevhen Khacheridi and Aleksandar Dragovic. Still the injury of one of them made its allowances.
Especially problematic is the absence of Khacheridi. He won’t definitely take the field against Chornomorets. With no doubt Yevhen Makarenko and Danilo Silva will feature as wing backs.
Odesa side conceded only 21 goals this season, which is the best result in the UPL. That’s the desert of the head coach Roman Hryhorchuk, who managed to find worthy substitution for Fontanello and Berger as they left the team in winter.
At the moment Chornomorets centre backs are Teikeu and Kutas. The latter is Dynamo trainee.
Wing back Pavlo Rebenok has good speed and Yevhen Zubeiko is very uncompromising.
Midfield
The White-Blues have a wide range of halfbacks. Still Kyivans former head coach Oleh Blokhin didn’t manage to find the best combination of performers.
Having such supporting midfielders as Miguel and Vukojevic, creative Belhanda, fast wingers Lens and Yarmolenko and also such substitute players as Haruna, Sydorchuk and Bezus the team performed spontaneously.
Chornomorets halfbacks, who usually have starting spots, are Hai, Okriashvili, Kovalchuk and Matos.
Attack
The White-Blues hit the target 50 times this season, while Hyhorchuk’s men – only 29.
Almost half of Dynamo goals were netted by Andriy Yarmolenko (11) and Dieumerci Mbokani (13). There’s no doubt that these performers can play the key role in the forthcoming match.
Chornomorets main striking force is Olexiy Antonov. He already has 10 goals to his name this season.
