Dynamo: return to victorious path
The most titled football club of Ukraine starts this euro cups campaign from Europa League play-off round. Last time Dynamo passed flying colors within this competition on October 20 2011 as they defeated Beşiktaş in Kyiv (1:0).
This season the White-Blues are ambitious as they have enforced their squad. Dynamo head coach Oleh Blokhin has stated: “We must qualify to Europa League group stage and I’m sure that we’ll do it”.
Kyivans’ attitude to their play-off round opponent FC Aktobe is serious. Dynamo assistant coach Serhiy Rebrov attended Aktobe away game against FC Ordabasy (2:1).
- We mustn’t underestimate our opponent. Aktobe are medium class team. They’ll try to demonstrate their best play as they face FC Dynamo Kyiv. Anyway Aktobe are very orderly team.
21 Dynamo players went to Kazakhstan.
One of the White-Blues leaders Andriy Yarmolenko said: “Of course we must qualify to Europa League group stage. Still the game in Kazakhstan won’t be easy”.
FC Aktobe: fulfilling the task, set by president
The forthcoming game against Dynamo will be 35th match for Aktobe on European arena (W-13, D-8, L-13). This season they have already defeated FC Gandzasar, IL Hødd and Breiðablik UBK within the Europa League qualification.
Since 2005 FC Aktobe are among Kazakhstan Premier League leaders. They won the national championship in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
Serhiy Rebrov has given the following commentary as for Aktobe current leaders:
- Serhiy Kovalchuk and Serhiy Davydov used to play in Russian Premier League. Center back Robert Primus plays rather confidently.
Midfielder Marat Khairullin is a skillful player. Skipper Petr Badlo is a true leader of the team.
It should be mentioned that Aktobe defender Emil Kenzhesariev has been messed up in Almaty on August 9. Thus he can’t play football at the moment.
FC Aktobe president Sagat Ensegenuly has stated: “Everyone wants to work for Aktobe as we have the best training complex in Kazakhstan. It’s time for us to qualify to Europa League group stage”.
We have met before
The forthcoming match will be the first one between FC Dynamo Kyiv and FC Aktobe. Still being a player Oleh Blokhin often faced Aktobe head coach Vladimir Nitikenko, who played for Kairat Almaty. So did Dynamo assistant coaches Andriy Bal and Olexiy Mykhailychenko.
Besides some Dynamo players faced Aktobe representatives in international matches.

Atmosphere
Dynamo will visit Aktobe for the first time ever. AktobeProvince is very rich on different natural resources.
The city was founded in 1869. “Aktobe” means “white hill” in Kazakh.
The Stadium named after Koblandy-batyr is located in the heart of the city. It has enough seats for 12,729 spectators. It seems that all tickets for the game will be sold!
The match between FC Aktobe and FC Dynamo Kyiv will start on August 22 at 16:00 (Kyiv time).
