FC Dynamo Kyiv have reached the 2022/23 Champions League play-off qualifying round by outplaying SK Sturm Graz (1:0, 2:1).
The White-Blues’ head coach Mircea Lucescu has summarized the second leg.
- Congratulations! Your joker Vivcharenko did it again. What was the reverse substitution of Harmash about?
- It was incredibly difficult game against very good team. Before the match against Fenerbahce I was calm, but today the situation was different. I knew we would face physically strong team with young enthusiastic players. Sturm were very motivated. We wanted to maintain possession and make them move without the ball. As we saw, Sturm couldn’t play their game in the last 30 minutes.
As for Vivcharenko, he did some good attacking work and scored. I assumed Vivcharenko and Karavayev would change the situation on the field.
I substituted Harmash as he got too emotional which is unacceptable for such experienced professional. He could cause us troubles.
