Europa League. Dynamo – Rennais – 0:1. Report

On October 13, FC Dynamo Kyiv played the 2022/2023 Europa League group stage matchday 4 game – against Stade Rennais FC.

A week before the match the White-Blues faced another lineup issue: goalkeeper Denys Boiko suffered cruciate ligament injury, so Ruslan Neshcheret took his place.

The first half of the game was quite even. Dynamo had some decent counterattacks and created several scoring opportunities.

Still the match started with chances for Rennais as Doue and Bourigeaud tested the skills of Neshcheret. Kyivans responded with the shot by Harmash, but Mandanda parried it.

Late in the first half Dynamo created another chance as Tsyhankov crossed to the far post from the right wing, but no one was there.

Early in the second half Rennais opened the score. After cross from the corner flag, Christopher Wooh sent the ball into the net.

Rennais continued dominating and Theate appeared in a promising position twice, but didn’t manage to increase the lead.

Late in the game Dynamo had some more chances to equalize, but Buialskyi’s shot was blocked while Karavayev sent the ball wide.

So, it’s Dynamo fourth defeat in the Europa League group stage.
