On Tuesday, January 21, FC Dynamo Kyiv played the Europa League matchday 7 game. The White-Blues faced Galatasaray SK at the Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi in Istanbul.
As far as neither this match nor the upcoming game against RFS don’t have any significance for Dynamo from the tournament point of view, coach and players emphasize they aren’t getting ready for euro cups matches specifically at this point.
As for Galatasaray, they haven’t lost a single game in the current Europa League campaign, so they stand a significant chance to qualify for the round of 16. No wonder the home side started aggressively and scored the early opener. Sanchez headed the ball in after cross from the corner flag – 1:0.
After that Galatasaray continued pressing. Mykhavko almost hit his own goal trying to intercept low cross from the right side. Neshcheret cleared the ball in front of him after power cross from Yilmaz. In the 21st minute Bardakci attempted from distance and scored with a help of rebound – 2:0.
Then Yilmaz sent the ball over the bar after cross from the left side while the heel shot by Osimhen was blocked.
Dynamo were waiting for a chance and finally found it right before the break. Buialskyi reached the ball in the right side, found Vanat and Vladyslav hit the near corner – 2:1.
The second half started interestingly. In the 50th minute Yilmaz fell inside Dynamo box struggling against Tymchyk and trying to score with his hand. At first referee booked the forward, but then checked VAR and awarded penalty for the home side. Osimhen converted from the spot – 3:1.
Kabayev had a pretty good opportunity, but he didn’t cope with the keeper. Osimhen had a chance for a brace after corner, but Neshcheret stopped the ball in the goal line.
In the 68th minute Dynamo scored the second one. After corner by Pikhalionok, Yarmolenko kicked the ball in – 3:2.
In the 81st minute Yarmolenko equalized spectacularly. Buialskyi put a cross from the right side and Andrii headed the ball in – 3:3.
After that Dynamo defended quite orderly and didn’t let Galatasaray create much.
