TEAMS’ PATH

- Having finished second in the UPL last season, Dynamo started the Champions League campaign with the third qualifying round. Mircea Lucescu’s men defeated AZ Alkmaar at the home ground (2:0) and then outplayed KAA Gent in two-match duel (2:1 away, 3:0 at home). In the group stage first game Dynamo lost against Juventus FC at home (0:2) and then drew against Ferencvarosi TC away (2:2).

- Barcelona finished second in the La Liga last season with Real Madrid five points in front. They started the Champions League group stage with two victories – against Ferencvarosi TC (5:1) and Juventus FC (2:0).

LINEUP ISSUES

Dynamo

Dynamo have incredibly serious lineup troubles before the game against Barcelona. Mykyta Burda, Olexandr Tymchyk and Volodymyr Kostevych are injured, Serhiy Sydorchuk is suspended. A large group of players has been tested positive for COVID-19: Tudor Baluta, Denys Boiko, Heorhiy Bushchan, Denys Harmash, Mikkel Duelund, Olexandr Karavayev, Vitaliy Mykolenko, Heorhiy Tsytaishvili and Mykola Shaparenko.

Domestic leagues start

Dynamo have played 14 games in all competitions this season. In the UPL the White-Blues are first with 20 points. Besides they’ve defeated FC Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukrainian Super Cup (3:1).

Barcelona have played eight games this season so far. They have only 8 points after six La Liga matchdays (12th place).
