- How come Shabanov featured as left back today?
- We had two options for this position – de Pena and Shabanov. We analyzed their performances in this role and picked Artem. Rodrigues had to help him with defensive duties, which was another tactical decision. Anyway, Shabanov has done a really good job.
- Why did Dynamo commit few fouls today? It’s a pretty good tactics against such opponents…
- This is a question for Ukrainian football in general. I always tell my players to be tough and fight till the end. Sometimes they seem too calm. That’s what happened in Budapest and today in the first half. We’ll try to work on this aspect.
- What do you think of Dynamo performance from tactical point of view?
- I’m satisfied, especially with the way we switched from defense to attack. There was pace and last pass. As we counterattacked against Ferencvarosi in Budapest, we acted individually and lost possession a lot. Today we counterattacked as a team. But we lacked composure. Supriaha and Tsyhankov first of all. Abut anyway I think Tsyhankov and Neshcheret were our key players today.
- Was this Dynamo best performance of the season?
- Every game has its history, so it’s hard to say which one was the nest. But considering current circumstances, I think we’ve demonstrated decent play. We’ve created a lot of chances.
- What do you think of VAR?
- I’m totally against this technology. Football is a spectacular performance for supporters and TV. This isn’t handball or basketball. VAR doesn’t help here. So, it’s all in hands of the fourth or fifth referee, who’s sitting in some room in front of a monitor. I’m against that.
