Dynamo forward Maksim Shatskikh didn’t participate in Uzbekistan’s World Cup 2010 qualifier against Australia on Wednesday. The captain felt unwell after the match between his national team and Qatar. That is why he didn’t fly to the world's smallest continent with his team. In his absence, Uzbekistan lost 0-2 to Australia. After coming back to Kyiv, Maksim told Dynamo official site about his state of health.
- Actually, nothing bad has happened to me. I just had a sudden fever after the match against Qatar. Probably, I picked up an infection. That is why I didn’t fly to Australia with my national team and returned to Kyiv. But now everything is fine and I hope to be ready for Sunday’s league match against Metalurh Donetsk. I think, the coach can count on me.
