Dynamo forward Matviy Ponomarenko has shared his emotions after signing a new five-year contract with the club.
– Matviy, congratulations on signing a new contract with Dynamo! How do you feel right now?
– I feel very proud that the club has shown its trust in me by offering a new contract. I decided to sign the deal without any hesitation. We will keep moving forward and strive for new heights.
– You are a graduate of the Dynamo academy and have been part of the club for many years. How important is it for you to remain a member of the white-and-blue family?
– The most important thing for me is to help the team. The club has given me so much, and I grew up here. I’m grateful the club has shown me such care. I’ll do my best to repay that trust.
– Last season was an extremely successful one for you – you finished as the UPL’s top scorer, made your debut for the Ukraine national team and scored your first international goal. The new season begins with a contract extension. What goals have you set for yourself now?
– First of all, it’s important to stay focused, never relax, keep moving forward, help the team qualify for European competitions and perform well there, and win trophies.
– Your new contract is a sign of the club’s trust in you. How valuable is that trust, and how does it motivate you?
– I’m a Dynamo academy graduate and have been here for a long time. The club trusts me and places great emphasis on young players. I try to repay that trust and help the team. I’m proud to have signed this contract.
