Dynamo Kyiv and Metalurh Zaporizhya shared the points in their Ukrainian championship Matchday 15 fixture at the Slavutych-Arena on Sunday. Valeriy Gazzaev’s men tried hard to make the breakthrough and had a number of presentable chances but unfortunately that didn’t prove to be enough to stop them from dropping two points.
Despite the result, the White-Blues remain in top spot at the halfway stage of the season and hold four-point lead over second-placed Metalist Kharkiv.
Before meeting Champions League rivals FC Barcelona in Kyiv, Dynamo have another away match in their Ukrainian league schedule. As you know, Dynamo still have chance to progress to the Champions League knock-out stage but their task is quite tough. They must beat Barcelona 2-0 or by three goals to ensure a play-off berth, unless Internazionale and Rubin draw in which case any victory would be enough.
