Mikkel Duelund: “I feel I miss something in my life”

- Mikkel, what do you do during the quarantine?

- I work out a lot and walk my dogs. Now I have two. But of course I want to get back to normal training process.

I try to mix the routine up: watch a lot of movies, clean my apartment and study Russian. I understand almost everything, but so far it’s difficult for me to speak myself.

- Do you go to the training complex?

- Yes, almost every day, but I miss my teammates. Training alone is different. Still it’s better than nothing.

- What exercises do you do to stay fit?

- I have an exercise bike, special fitness balls. At the training complex I do jogging and practice with the ball. It’s important to cover both short and long distances with different intervals.

I missed the last game before the quarantine due to injury, but now I’m fine.

I think we must take the pandemic really seriously. If we all stick to quarantine rules it will end sooner.

- Do you keep in touch with Dynamo coaches?

- Sure, we keep in touch with Olexiy Mykhailychenko, other coaches, our physical trainer. For example, Olexiy Mykhailychenko called me to ask how I feel. It’s nice they care about us.

- Do you miss football?

- Of course I do. Football is what we live for. I feel I miss something in my life.

- Can you tell about your pets?

- I have a Labrador, it’s three. Recently I got a Dalmatian, it’s only nine months old. They’ve already found a common ground and like to play together (smiling).
