FC Dynamo Kyiv halfback Mykola Mykhailenko told about his return to the capital club, the peculiarities of the training process under the charge of Oleksandr Shovkovskyi and his upcoming participation in the football tournament of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris:
- I’m glad to be back. The training process is really interesting. I’m getting accustomed to it. I think everything will be fine.
- You spent the last season playing on loan. What did this period of time give you professionally?
- Game practice is crucial in football. I think this period was beneficial for me. I want to thank coaches who let me play.
- How tough is it to recondition before the new season?
- Of course training camps are always tough. Dynamo have the highest level training process.
- You’ve been called up to Ukraine Olympic team. What are your expectations of the Olympics?
- We realize we’ve got really good opponents, but that only makes things more interesting. It’s not every year that you get a chance like this. We’ll try to show the best result at the Olympics.
- Are you familiar with your opponents already?
- Sure. For instance, Argentina have Julian Alvarez, who won the Champions League with Manchester City not so long ago. Still I think it’s all about the team. If we play as a team, no one will beat us.
