Mykola Shaparenko: “I think we deserved to score at least one”

FC Dynamo Kyiv halfback Mykola Shaparenko has commented upon the Champions League qualification play-off round first leg against RB Salzburg (0:2):

- We deserved do score at least one goal. It’s just that we didn’t use our chances while our Salzburg used their.

- It seemed Dynamo didn’t shoot enough. How come?

- Salzburg defended very well. We approached the goal, but defenders cleared the ball, blocked our shots. As I’ve said, we didn’t use our chance. We’ll try to make amends in the second leg.

- What did you talk about after the first half? Did the penalty ruin your plans?

- The gaffer pointed our mistakes out and we did pretty well, but that penalty accident happened. This is football. Anyway we had chances, it was all in our hands.

- Are you satisfied with your teammates today?

- As for me, the team did a really decent job. The start of the first half was good, we could score. The second one wasn’t bad either. Unfortunately we list. I’m satisfied with the team. We all fought for Dynamo emblem and did our best.
